Despite a big comeback win over Lecce, under pressure AC Milan manager Sergio Conceicao is dealing with another explosive story.
Milan won 3-2 from 2-0 down thanks to a Christian Pulsic late show that snapped a three-game Serie A losing streak.
Yet over the weekend, Conceicao had more problems with former club press officer Francisco Empis revealing to various media outlets the coach’s complaints about the club.
He claimed that Conceicao believes Milan’s infrastructure is not up to par, players aren’t physically prepared, co-owner Gerry Cardinale doesn’t like him, and the club’s best players aren’t motivated.
Responding to the news in strong fashion, the former Porto manager said: “I am sorry about this situation. I did not understand what my former colleague did.
“I do not know if it was out of malice or because he was paid by someone. I was informed of the incident by a journalist and I did not believe it.
“I feel sorry for those who work at Milan. I was here all week, every day, with the team and the management, I spoke with the players, I spoke and I worked.
“And then some false things came out, thanks to this gentleman. He will pay for it before the legal team.”
