Despite hopes from the player himself, Endrick staying at Lyon isn’t looking likely.
The Brazilian sensation has regularly talked up remaining on loan from Real Madrid after winning over OL and France.
In fact, at the start of May, he was pretty explicit, saying: “I’d really like to stay here, they’re doing everything to put me in the best possible conditions.”
However, according to head coach Paulo Fonseca, that probably won’t happen.
“It will be difficult for Endrick to stay here,” he said before finishing the season against Lens.
“Real Madrid will undoubtedly want him back. That’s normal.
“After what he has shown here, he has proven that he has the quality to be a Real Madrid player.”
Lyon’s chances could further be hampered on the final day, with a tough match as they look to return to the Champions League.
OL face second-placed Lens where a loss or draw and a Rennes win would stop them finishing in the top four.
On top of that, Madrid seem to be open to negotiations for Gonzalo Garcia, a deal that would certainly suggest Endrick is on his way back to Spain to back-up Kylian Mbappe.
