One of Carlo Ancelotti’s first games as Brazil coach could be against the side he’ll soon depart – Real Madrid.
Madrid-based Relevo report that Florentino Perez is planning an unseal pre-season due to the Club World Cup which he’s desperate to win.
A two-week holiday break will then be awarded to the players, with no time before the start of the LaLiga season for a pre-season tour.
Instead, the club are eyeing a friendly against Brazil which was put in Ancelotti‘s contract with the country.
The iconic five-time Champions League winner will face up against his replacement at the Bernabeu – Xabi Alonso, and it’s unclear which side Brazilian Madridistas like Vinicius and Rodrygo would play for.
Should Madrid make the final of the Club World Cup on July 14th, a two-week holiday would see them return on August 1st, allowing 15 days to fit in the Brazil friendly and another before the start of the new season.
Before that, Ancelotti is set for a mega Madrid farewell ahead of the last game of the season, at the Bernabeu against Real Sociedad on Saturday.
As the most successful manager in the club’s history, all his 15 trophies are expected to be on the pitch with tributes from the club and stands.
