Peter Bosz was flung into the air by his PSV players after a stunning 8-0 win over Heerenveen essentially confirmed their Eredivisie title.
The Eindhoven side decimated their opponents to make it a stunning 27 wins and one defeat in 31 games, with 103 goals scored and just 17 conceded.
Speaking post-match, Bosz was blown away by his players, commenting: “It was incredibly good, I just stood there clapping during halftime. It was such a high level.
“I have stuck to my philosophy. I am happy that we are becoming champions, but I think entertaining people is even more beautiful and important.”
At full-time PSV’s players, staff and fans broke into title-winning celebrations, but it’s still not mathematically done.
Due to Arne Slot’s Feyenoord beating Go Ahead Eagles 3-1, they can still theoretically defend their title.
However, due to PSV’s exceptional scoring and defending, they’d have to overturn a goal difference of 30 while winning their three remaining games and PSV losing all of theirs.
At least PSV get given the trophy in front of their own fans at the weekend…
