PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi reportedly staged an angry phone call with Juventus general manager Damien Comolli over a failed deal for Randal Kolo Muani.
The France forward spent the second half of last season on loan at Juve, and is understood to have been promised to the club, also keen to join, turning down offers from England and Turkey.
Yet as the window wound down, negotiations failed to find a conclusion with Juventus unable to shift Dusan Vlahovic and his hefty wages.
Originally working on a loan with an obligation to buy for around €50-€55million, PSG initially folded to try and come to a similar agreement as the previous season, but by then, on deadline day, Juve and Comolli had moved onto Edon Zhegrova.
Kolo Muani was then sent to Tottenham in a last minute loan.
According to French newspaper Sports Zone, Al-Khelaifi then called Comolli, telling him: “You’ve been fooling us for weeks.
“It’s over, you won’t win this battle with me. I will remember the methods you used.”
L’Equipe add that he said: “You’ve made a new enemy.”
