Nick Woltemade’s proposed move to Bayern Munich appeared to have been snuffed out, but his agent isn’t so sure.
The Stuttgart sensation has been the subject of two offers, one equalling €45million and another worth €50m.
Kicker claim Woltemade agreed terms with Bayern and is desperate for the move, but on both occasions his current side have instantly rejected both offers.
Now his agent, Danny Bachmann, has called Stuttgart’s behaviour into question.
“If a Bundesliga record offer of 55 million euros isn’t even enough for a face-to-face meeting, the question arises as to what VfB actually considers extraordinary,” he said. “That was unforeseeable.”
Stuttgart seem certain to hold firm, though, with CEO Alexander Wehrle saying on Wednesday: “If anything extraordinary happens, from any club, and it’s not just about Bayern Munich, we’re professional enough to sit down at the table.
“We’re not negotiating with Bayern Munich. Nothing has changed. Nick Woltemade will play for us next year. We want to start the season with him. He’s a very important player.”
