Spain and Argentina’s football federations have settled on the Santiago Bernabeu for the 2025 Finalissima.
The traditional match between the European and South American champions was initially scheduled for Doha, Qatar, on March 27th.
Yet the city is currently in the process of intercepting Iranian missiles after an attack from the US and Israel.
AS report that a number of neutral venues were pitched such as London, Lisbon and Rome.
However, Spain will now have a home match, despite it being unfavourable territory for the team’s main players.
The match will focus around Argentina and Inter Miami’s Lionel Messi facing off against his Barcelona heir Lamine Yamal.
It will likely be the only ever meeting between Barca’s greatest ever and their new No.10, unless they meet in the World Cup itself.
All that is left is for security guarantees to be secured, particularly as Morocco and Ecuador are playing at Atletico Madrid’s Metropolitano on the same day.
