The notoriously miserly French publication L’Equipe have given just the 18th 10/10 rating in their history after PSG’s 0-0 draw with Auxerre.
Goalkeeper Donovan Léon picked up the award for his incredible 11 saves, which included four on striker Goncalo Ramos.
Commenting on the 32-year-old’s display, they wrote: “Auxerre held on thanks to its goalkeeper, Donovan Léon who was in a state of grace.
“The 32-year-old Icaunais goalkeeper, who is in his first season as a starter in L1, had a clean sheet with 11 saves and disgusted PSG.”
Léon has been in action for 15 years with Auxerre and Brest, but never made it in the top flight until now.
First choice for Auxerre in Ligue 2, he dropped to the bench for their last Ligue 1 campaign in 2022/23, but this season he’s stuck, with stunning results.
The draw means that PSG’s Ligue 1 lead can be cut to five points should Marseille beat Saint-Ettienne on Sunday.
The result piles pressure on Luis Enrique who’s only picked up one win in the Champions League and is on course to miss out on the next round.
The last player to receive a 10/10 from L’Equipe was Ademola Lookman who scored a hat-trick for Atalanta in their Europa League final win over Bayer Leverkusen earlier this year.
