Roberto Mancini has looked set to return to the elite level of football for the past few months, but he’s instead heading to the obscurity of Qatar.
The four time league winner in Serie A and the Premier League was in talks with both two-time European champions Nottingham Forest and Italian giants Juventus.
However, La Gazzetta now report that he’s accepted an offer from Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League who average an attendance of around 6,000.
Mancini’s last job was in the Middle East with the Saudi Arabia national team, a stint he massively underperformed in while complaining about his players minutes being blocked by Europeans.
