PSG had a night to forget on Sunday, and it could get even worse.
The French champions lost 2-1 to fierce rivals Lyon at home, despite Paulo Fonseca’s side being in dire form.
The result draws them right back into the Ligue 1 title race, one point ahead of Lens with a game in hand, but the two have a final head-to-head meeting.
Such a situation dials up the distractions before facing Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals.
Before that game PSG also have two matches in three days, having previously enjoyed the benefit of seeing their clash with Nantes moved to accommodate a tie against Chelsea.
That game now comes ahead of Bayern, who could be a man up in the most crucial of positions.
Vitinha injured
Real Madrid loanee Endrick opened the scoring and later clashed with Vitinha while setting up the second goal.
Minutes later, the Portuguese Ballon d’Or finalist hobbled off the pitch and whipped off his right boot in anger.
PSG have already lost Nuno Mendes before facing Bayern on April 28th, and with Vitinha now a doubt, they could be in a world of trouble.
All of this comes the same day Bayern wrapped up the Bundesliga, meaning they have no distractions ahead of the final four meeting.
UPDATE [20/4/26]:
Luis Enrique commented on Vitinha post-match, saying: “It’s clearly not positive, we have to wait until tomorrow, he’s going to have tests.”
