Just days on from winning the Copa del Rey as Real Sociedad captain, Mikel Oyarzabal is having his professionalism questioned.
La Real crashed back down to earth with a 1-0 defeat to Getafe in La Liga which damages their European hopes.
The match at Anoeta saw the King’s Cup paraded around to the home fans, with Oyarzabal front and centre due to yet another final goal.
Yet the match ended with a scuffle, and Oyarzabal was front and centre.
The attacker was seen covering his mouth with his shirt during a clash with Juan Iglesias, but thankfully wasn’t accused of anything as serious as Gianluca Prestianni.
However, it was very distasteful nonetheless.
Oyarzabal accused of insulting opponent’s wife
Speaking straight after the match, Iglesias was asked what happened, and replied: “It’s very simple. And I’m glad you asked me the question.
“The Real Sociedad captain (Oyarzabal), who goes around setting an example, puts his hand over his mouth to insult my wife.
“Those are the values they have here. What I don’t want is for them to go around setting an example.
“He conveniently covered his mouth because he didn’t have the guts to say it. I’ll keep what he said to myself.”
He added: “People are really bothered by Getafe winning. It annoys them to see us up there.
“We’ve done a fantastic job, and this team deserves to be congratulated.
“We started with a lot of difficulties, and now we have 44 points. It’s truly amazing to work with these guys.”
