Italy and Juventus legend Marco Tardelli has suggested the club’s owners are at fault for their current struggles.
Juve went out of the Champions League to Galatasaray on Wednesday night and haven’t won Serie A since 2020, their ninth in a row.
Through the years there have been multiple changes at board level with Andrea Agnelli departing as chairman in 2022.
His cousin, John Elkann, is now seen as the figurehead of the club, and Tardelli hasn’t been too kind about the man who also chairs Ferrari.
“What’s missing today compared to then? Someone who loves Juventus,” he said, diagnosing the club’s current problems.
“[The previous owner] didn’t use Juve as a business, but because he enjoyed being there with the players.
“Now, however, the owners don’t pay much attention.
“I’ve never had a great relationship with him, but perhaps I miss Andrea Agnelli: he was on the pitch, there was someone I could talk to in his time.
“Now the French have come in, and despite having caused a disaster, they’re staying put. I hope Juventus finds an owner.”
