Fiorentina striker Edin Dzeko has given the green light to a move to Bundesliga 2 side Schalke.
Sky Germany report the update, with the 39-year-old keen to unite with fellow Bosnians coach Miron Mulic and international teammate Nikola Katic.
The news will come as a blow to Red Bull head of soccer Jurgen Klopp, who was chasing the striker for Ligue 1 side Paris FC.
Yet Schalke have a bigger draw for Dzeko, as they’re currently heading for promotion as one of Germany’s biggest sides.
All that is left now is an agreement between Schalke and Fiorentina, which shouldn’t be hard to come by as he’s no longer first choice in Italy.
