Julian Nagelsmann’s chances of returning to the Bundesliga next season are increasingly likely.
Sky Germany report that the Germany manager is a hot topic at Borussia Dortmund.
Nagelsmann’s contract with the national side only lasts until the end of this summer’s home Euro 2024 tournament, and he is keen to have his future sorted before things get underway in June.
While he could well still return to Bayern Munich, or even head abroad to Liverpool, Sky say the possibility of a Dortmund arrival ‘needs to be taken seriously’.
CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke is departing in the summer, and is a ‘huge fan’ of Nagelsmann, having already hired him for the Germany job as chairman of the DFL.
Edin Terzic looks a near-certainty to depart this summer due to a series of poor displays, which could well bring forward Dortmund’s plans to open a dialogue with Nagelsmann.
