We all know how good Jude Bellingham is, but in his second season at Real Madrid, he’s stepped up to a whole new level.
The England megastar was already outstanding in his first season, winning the Champions League and LaLiga while scoring an abundance of goals as he filled in up front.
However, this season’s been more about leadership, which was on full display as Madrid downed Mallorca to set up a Spanish Supercup final with Barcelona in Saudi Arabia.
Bellingham controlled the tempo and tone of a heated match that was sparked into life pre-kick-off by comments from Mallorca’s Pablo Maffeo.
Things could have easily got out of hand, but Bellingham had it under control, and even scored in the 3-0 win.
So commanding was the performance, that one of the loudest voices in the Spanish media, AS editor Tomás Roncero went all out with his praise.
“Jude Bellingham is Real Madrid’s big star,” he said. “He’s Above Mbappé and Vinicius, that’s how I would put it.
“Right now he is the leader of Real Madrid, he is a footballer who commands on the pitch, he is Di Stéfano, he is Zidane…
“In addition to that elegance, he was born with magic in his boots.”
