Italy had earlier beaten Northern Ireland in their World Cup qualifying play-off, and then their players seemed to think they’d got the easier task in Bosnia.
Italy’s players were captured watching the shoot-out win, and front and centre was Federico Dimarco pumping his fist.
The moment has caused all sorts of outrage on social media, and even the Italian press are unhappy with what they saw.
“Talk about shooting yourself in the foot,” wrote Gazzetta.
