Hervé Renard is set to become Ivory Coast head coach for a second time.
RMC Sport claim that the Frenchman will be announced as the new manager of the African giants on Wednesday.
Renard was an emergency hire at the World Cup by Tunisia who sacked Sabri Lamouchi after an opening 5-1 defeat to Sweden.
The African football specialist couldn’t turn things around, though, with Tunisa heading out with zero points.
He is still an absolute expert on the continent, though, winning AFCON twice, once with Ivory Coast in 2015 and also Zambia in 2012.

Yet according to many, it’s controversial that the Ivorians have a vacancy in the first place.
Homegrown talent Emerse Faé won the 2024 AFCON and then reached the quarter-finals in 2025.
He then impressed at the World Cup, narrowly losing to Germany in the groups and then knocked out by Norway in the last 32.
Faé’s contract expired at the end of the tournament, and despite his exit being reported as mutual, he’s since claimed he wanted to stay.
“After the World Cup, we were in discussions about an extension,” he said.
“But yesterday morning, the management called me to tell me there wouldn’t be an extension. It happened suddenly, without explanation.
“They acknowledge that the work was done well, that they had a future with us, but after yet another meeting between management, it became clear they wouldn’t follow through.
“I’m not one to ask for explanations. I accepted it, that’s how it is.”
He added: “I was already looking ahead to the 2030 World Cup.
“When I signed permanently after the AFCON, I had a project focused on the development of Ivorian football, beyond just results. I didn’t want to stop at the first team.”
