Barcelona’s Hansi Flick has played down any tension over Lamine Yamal’s sulk during a 2-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt.
Barca staged a comeback thanks to a double from Jules Kounde with a quick-fire double before the hour.
With the game closing out, Lamine was taken off by flick in the 89th minute, and the teen wasn’t happy despite such few minutes left on the clock.
Responding to his sulk, Flick joked: “Next time he’ll be on the bench.”
He then clarified: “Lamine was a little disappointed with the substitution, but he already had a yellow card and we needed fresh legs on the field.
“This is simply Lamine, he is who he is. I totally understand him, because he thinks he can play at all times.
“It seems fine to me and I have no problem with it. I understand him perfectly because I was also a player. Maybe I wouldn’t show it like this, but I accept the situation without any problems.”
