Former Bundesliga regular Gerardo Seoane is on course for his second sacking of the season back home in Switzerland with Young Boys.
The former Bayer Leverkusen coach managed Borussia Monchengladbach last season and started this campaign with them but only lasted four games.
He’s since returned to Swiss Super League side Young Boys where he wont three straight league titles from 2019 to 2021.
However, that initial magic is yet to return, and with four wins and five defeats in 11 games, questions are being asked and the dreaded vote of confidence has been given.
Now 11 points off the league leaders, leading Swiss outlet Blick wrote: “Everything is much worse at Young Boys.
“With the coaching change to Gerardo Seoane, memories of the truly successful times were immediately revived at YB.
“But the club is no further along than it was under Contini. And no further than it was a year ago.”
Sporting director and co-owner Christoph Spycher was asked about his coach and responded: “He is no longer the same coach he was when he left. But he is still the same person.”
