Galatasaray’s general secretary has levelled some outrageous criticism at Liverpool.
Tensions are high between the two clubs after their Champions League last 16 tie where Gala came away with not only a defeat.
The Turkish Super Lig side will be without star forwards Noa Lang and Victor Osimhen with the former severing his thumb and the latter braking his arm.
Said arm break was pretty brutal, with cameras showing it go in all types of horrible directions after smacking Ibrahima Konate’s knee.
Konate has come in for racist abuse online as a result, something Liverpool have rightly condemned.
However, Galatasaray’s general secretary, Eray Yazgan, has shockingly claimed that’s just distraction from the injuries.
He said: “While Liverpool haven’t even apologised, we can see they want to turn the problem around by talking about imaginary comments against their player Konaté.
“While there’s a serious situation threatening the players’ safety, Liverpool wants to change the agenda.”
Populism at it’s finest, given the numerous money emojis available for view on Konate’s Instagram.
