Francesco Totti’s son, Cristian, has retired at the age of just 19.
La Repubblica report that the teen made the decision due to a combination of online hate and the pressure of living up to his legendary father.
Cristian started out at AS Roma, his father’s lifelong club where he’s remains their all time top scorer and appearance maker.
Stints at LaLiga side Rayo Vallecano and in Serie D with Frosinone followed before brief spells at Italian sides Avezzano and Olbia before announcing his decision to stop playing.
A striker by trade, it’s claimed Cristian was often targeted over his physical appearance online.
Not done with football, he will now take up a position at his father’s Totti Soccer School where he will help identify new talent.
