Reports in Turkey claim Kerem Akturkoglu is facing a ban of up to 12 games if he’s found guilty of signing multiple contracts.
Sabah newspaper reports that Akturkoglu signed a contract with Fenerbahce which stipulated that he would earn the minimum wage in the country, and another with the company of Hakan Safi, their former director worth €8.75 million per-year.
The director of Sabah, Murat Özbostan, claimed: “There have been numerous rumours about Kerem Aktürkoğlu’s contract for some time now.
“Fenerbahçe has signed two contracts for the national team player. One is a contract covering the minimum wage and submitted to the Turkish Football Federation (TFF).
“The other is a contract signed by former Fenerbahçe manager Hakan Safi, covering his company, worth €8.75 million (including taxes and agent fees) annually.”
UEFA has already requested details from Fenerbahce and the TFF and the club are said to have requested legal advice.
Should Akturkoglu – who joined for €22.5m from Benfica – be found guilty, he could miss between four to 12 games.
