Jose Mourinho’s signing has been promised to Gremio fans by prospective club president Marcelo Marques.
The food businessman already bought the rights to the Brazilian Serie A team’s stadium, making him the favourite for a November election win.
He’s now taken further steps to convince supporters, with CNN Brasil claiming he’s contacted Mourinho and will make a pledge to get him to supporters.
Mourinho is currently contracted to Fenerbahce until the end of the new 2025/26 season, but has regularly spoke about his future back in Portugal, England, and even with his own national team.
