It’s only been a few games, but Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce tenure is already absolute chaos.
The Portuguese has already led his side out of the Champions League in pre-tournament qualification, and in the Turkish Super Lig he now has a win and a draw.
The latest 2-2 result, that came after leading Goztepe 2-0, was marred with controversy.
At full-time chairman Ali Koc was walking off the field and was first shoved over by a pitch invader before being nastily hit by a water bottle from the stands.
Koc then had to be escorted off the pitch by police in yet another dark scene for Turkish football.
Later, in his post-match press conference, Mourinho then made some trademark comments, telling his players to cheat more.
“I have to adapt to Turkish football,” he said. “My players also need to start wasting time and throwing themselves on the ground.
“They have to fake injuries, just like everyone else does. I’m not a magician, I’m just experienced.
“It was a difficult game, but we had the game under control at 2-0. We had chances to score the third goal, but then things changed. They scored from a move we worked on in training, from a set piece. Cenk Tosun was close to scoring the third, but couldn’t do it.”
