Non starters continue to act up at Real Madrid, and Endrick is the latest.
The Brazilian was given a rare start in a 1-0 LaLiga win over Getafe but was taken off in the 64th minute after an act Carlo Ancelotti wasn’t happy with.
All alone with the goalkeeper on a one-v-one, Endrick tried to chip the keeper rather than picking a corner and failed.
Speaking post-match, Ancelotti said: “He had two chances and I don’t think he could have done better in the first one.
“In the second one, he could have even been offside, I don’t know, but he can’t do these things. That’s not how you do it.
“He’s young and he has to learn. He has to shoot hard and not try theatrical moves. Drama clubs don’t exist in football.”
Endrick then received further criticism for sulking at his substitution, with Cadena SER’s Manu Carreño saying: “Lately I’ve been seeing some bad attitude from the players… I don’t know what’s happening to them, when they’re taken off the pitch.
“What do they think, that the starting eleven can’t come off? They have to make five substitutions…
“If they don’t make a face, the other pouts. Then the other kicks the fridge, the other throws a bottle or a jacket.”
“It’s incredible, I haven’t seen it so much in a long time. Especially at Barça and Madrid. You take me off, I get angry and I don’t shake your hand… it’s a bit striking.”
