Eintracht Frankfurt doctor allegedly sacked for treating rival player

A surprise story has hit the headlines in Germany with BILD claiming Eintracht Frankfurt have sacked their team doctor for a bizarre reason.

Fabian Plachel has reportedly been sacked with the Bundesliga side seventh in the table.

BILD now claim that the 35-year-old allegedly treated an opposing player in the team hotel during Frankfurt’s away game against Heidenheim at the beginning of November.

This was done without informing his employer, and Frankfurt’s players were shocked to see rival Mathias Honsak at their team hotel.
