The good news continues regarding Edoardo Bove, who has returned to the warm embrace of his Fiorentina teammates.
The 22-year-old, who collapsed against Inter Milan on December 1, is recovering from a terrifying seizure and cardiac arrest.
Yet it’s been mainly good news ever since, with quick reactions on the day stopping any physical or neurological damage.
On Friday, Bove was released from hospital before returning to Fiorentina’s training ground on Saturday.
There were emotional scenes, as the loanee from Roma was given a round of applause by his teammates, as he joined a team meeting and met club staff.
Nevertheless, it looked like despite Bove’s recovery, his career in Italy would be over as a defibrillator had to be fitted to counteract scarring on his heart.
As was reported in the Italian media, Bove would have to look for a new country to continue his career, with Serie A rules strict on defibrillators, previously leading to the departure of Christian Eriksen.
However, more good news could be on the way for the midfielder who is awaiting tests from the Careggi Hospital.
Should they come back positive, his defibrillator could well be removed, leading to a potential return to Serie A with Fiorentina.
