Niklas Süle joined Borussia Dortmund to huge fanfare in 2022, but he could now leave ahead of schedule after a poor season.
The centre back was seen as a massive coup when he arrived from Bayern Munich at the start of last season, but now the club are considering offloading him, Sky Germany reports.
Süle has made just 29 appearances this season, far fewer than first-choice partnership Nico Schlotterbeck (44) and Mats Hummels (39) despite earning more than both as one of BVB’s best-paid stars.
The outlet also claims that Dortmund are unhappy with Süle’s ‘professionalism and attitude’ this season.
Links persist to replacements such as fellow Germany international Armel Bella-Kotchap.
The story also suggests that Hummels is likely to stay, despite recently speculating about a departure.
