Atletico Madrid made it just one win in their first six games of the season and Julian Alvarez was more angry than anyone.
The club record signing has only played the full 90 minutes once this season, and was taken off in the 62nd away at Mallorca with the score 0-0.
Alvarez was seen disappointedly shaking his head on the bench after his substitution, and was proved right soon after.
Replacement Alexander Sorloth ended up being sent off, and Atleti dropped more points in a 1-1 draw.
Post-match Simeone was asked about Alvarez’s reaction and said: “Julián is the best player we have offensively. We need to have him at his best.
“He was having a great game. He understood we needed Sorloth, and he ended up getting sent off in a confusing play.
“With Julián… all the players get angry when they come off, it’s normal.”
