David Alaba has seemingly taken responsibility for a poor performance in the Madrid derby.
The Real Madrid defender twice lost Alvaro Morata during the 3-1 defeat, allowing the Atletico Madrid man to nod in simple headers.
It was a first defeat of the season for Real, but a worrying one at that, particularly from a defensive perspective.
Tweeting after the match, Alaba wrote: “Madridistas we all expect more! This was not our game, this was not my game!
“We let you down yesterday but we will fight back and we will come back to what Real Madrid is!”
