Sensational reports from A Bola claim Cristiano Ronaldo won’t play Al Nassr’s next match in a protest against the club’s transfer window.
Nassr face fellow Saudi Public Investment Fund [PIF]-owned side Al Ittihad in a crucial Pro League clash on February 6th, but Ronaldo won’t be there.
Initial reports from Saudi claimed an injury, but now in Ronaldo’s Portugal it’s claimed it’s a protest against a ‘lack of investment’ in the club.
foot.mundo previously highlighted how a Karim Benzema transfer could infuriate Ronaldo, it it appears exactly that has happened.
Benzema has similarly refused to play for another PIF-owned side, Ittihad, and looks set to arrive at league leaders Al Hilal.
Nassr coach Jorge Jesus previously highlighted struggles in the transfer market compared to his time at Hilal, and it seems Ronaldo now agrees.
Nassr in fact spent more than Hilal in the summer with both cracking the €100million mark, but there has been a €40m discrepancy in January, which could widen if Benzema’s move is completed.
