The German record champions rarely break the bank, instead paying middling fees on multiple players.
But for Kane things were different with €100million paid to Tottenham despite the England captain closing in on his 30th birthday.
Yet in the view of honorary president Uli Hoeness, that was too little.
“Today I would buy him for 150 million,” he said
“Because he’s a dream for Bayern Munich. A global icon. A good character, a role model for our youth, our 18-year-olds.
“He takes them under his wing. He tells them how they have to shoot the ball.”
