Still stinging from the Dayot Upamecano saga, Bayern Munich are willing to take special measures to avoid a repeat.
Upamecano eventually avoided becoming a free agent in the summer by signing a new contract at the start of February.
However, the process was drawn out for months, with every member of Bayern’s executive board criticising his agents during the process.
It was reported that eventually Bayern withdrew their final offer, only for Upamecano’s camp to then accept it.
After that, negotiations still took over a week to conclude.
Bayern to take special measures

Discussing how Bayern will handle things going forward, honorary president Uli Hoeness told BILD: “We will no longer tolerate agents dictating how things are done.
“Their contribution is increasingly disproportionate to the fees they demand and often ultimately pay.
“We will increasingly say ‘no’ and not participate in this madness.”
He added: “You can tell the player: ‘If your agent continues to negotiate so outrageously, we will no longer discuss your future with us.’ It has to go that far.
“We might also put one or two agents – if they behave unfairly – on a list and tell them that we will no longer sign players they represent. That would be the next step.”
He finished: “In the case of Upamecano, the advisors either wanted to drive up the price with us or push him to another club, and as a thank you we are supposed to pay them signing bonuses.
“That is a contradiction in itself that we should no longer accept.”
