The champions of England, Spain and France have been given a boost in their pursuit of Julian Alvarez.
The Atletico Madrid forward has been heavily linked to Arsenal, Barcelona and PSG, who all recently became domestic title winners.
So far, Atleti have batted away any talk, with president Enrique Cerezo and coach Diego Simeone particularly staunch.
However, it’s now claimed that sporting director Mateu Alemany is far more open to the idea.
Alemany has been given even more power by the club’s new majority American owners, and he sees Alvarez as a potential money maker according to Cadena SER.
Alvarez has a €500million release clause, and PSG are reportedly happy to pay €150million.
And according to the report, Alemany and his other executives believe it’s ‘an excellent opportunity to raise funds and strengthen various positions on the field’.
It continues to be widely reported that Alvarez’s entourage see his future away from Atleti, while the player was far from convincing when asked to reject interest from Barcelona.
