Atalanta’s Ivan Juric tries to calm things down after going head-to-head with Ademola Lookman

Atalanta’s Ivan Juric has tried to claim his extraordinary outburst at Ademola Lookman was nothing out of the ordinary.

Wantaway star winger Lookman was taken off in the 75th minute of a 1-0 Champions League win over Marseille, but took all the time in the world to sulk off the pitch.

Then, upon finally reaching the touchline, his reaction greeting Juric caused the Croatian to turn and angrily grab him.

Discussing the moment post-match, he said: “It’s the same thing as every Sunday. The players refuse to leave the pitch.

“There are a few undisciplined reactions, but it stops there and is sorted out in the locker room.

“We’ve all experienced this kind of situation. These things happen in the heat of the moment, but the important thing is the team and the fans.”
