Having held a few emotional press conferences of late, Argentina’s Lionel Scaloni had a ridiculous one after a win over Zambia.
The champions win 5-0 in their final friendly before the World Cup, but there have been concerns about performances against far weaker opposition of late.
Emi Martinez has already made the point, but one ‘fan’ decided to hammer it home after the 5-0 win.
Standing up in the post-match press conference, someone wearing a No.10 Argentina shirt began shouting: “I want you to be prepared.
“France is a very good team, better than Brazil and Spain, with all due respect.
“Mbappé is the best player in the world, along with Messi and ‘Dibu’ Martínez.”
A press officer struggled to scramble away the individual as Scaloni gave a sarcastic thumbs up.
Once removed, he then suggested it was some kind of influencer prank.
“I suspected it was staged,” the coach said before swiftly moving on.
