And what about Sadio Mane?
Al Nassr kept their Saudi Pro League title challenge alive with a 2-0 win over fellow Public Investment Fund [PIF]-owned side Al Ittihad on Friday night.
Mane scored the first goal in a match without his teammate and the highest-paid athlete in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, who continued his strike.
By all accounts, Ronaldo percieves PIF-bias towards title leaders Al Hilal, who spent €70million in January and signed Karim Benzema while Ronaldo’s Nassr just signed a local player.
Yet despite Mane proving to be the hero once more, fans chose to instead show their support for Ronaldo.
When the clock hit 7:00 during the match, posters were held up at the King Saud University Stadium in Riyadh with the name Ronaldo and number 7 on.
Yet despite all of this, the Saudi transfer window is now closed, rendering the protests largely pointless, particularly with Nassr needing every win they can get.
