Germany’s Nick Woltemade continues to charm the media, even letting them in on some confidential information.
The lofty striker swapped Stuttgart for Newcastle in the summer after months of being chased by Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Transfer fees ranging from €57million all the way up to €90m were quoted in the German media earning plenty of scrutiny.
Bayern legend Karl-Heinz Rummenigge called Newcastle ‘idiots’ for paying so much, while Philipp Lahm said they were ‘believing in miracles’.
So far Woltemade is proving his worth, and has now revealed exactly what that worth was while speaking to BILD.
“It was 75 million euros,” they quoted him as telling them.
“Regardless of the amount, I’m very happy to be here now.”
