Lamine Yamal has caused plenty of controversy just days before the first Clasico of the season.

Real Madrid host Barcelona on Sunday afternoon in a top of the table LaLiga clash, and Ballon d’Or favourite Lamine will be the man to watch.

However, in a video podcast for Gerard Pique’s Kings League he made a comment that hasn’t gone down well.

Discussing a rival team, he said: : “For me, Porcinos is like Real Madrid, they steal and complain.”

Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta was asked about the remark and said: “It’s a comment to add a little spice, if nothing else, to the Clásicos.

“Beyond comments, it will be a spectacular match. A lot of importance is always given to what is said, especially if it is before a match like this, but I’m not very up to date with current events.

“There will be jokes that are meant to warm up the match, and others who will say they don’t like it.

“These are external factors, and what really matters is what happens in the 90 minutes, which will determine who takes the three points.

“There are comments from all sides; the important thing is football. It’s the biggest game there is.”

AS editor and Real Madrid fan Tomas Roncero said that he expects the comments to backfire.

“It’s done Madrid a favor from an emotional and stage perspective,” he said.

“The Bernabéu has become increasingly elitist, and it’s hard to see the fervent fans, which is what can intimidate the opposition.

“Now it feels like a stadium where everyone saves their spot, there are lots of VIP areas, and the PA system speaks for the fans. But you’ve given them fuel.
