Zinedine Zidane has been out of work since 2021, and it’s no surprise according to a close friend.

The legendary player became a legendary coach with three Champions League titles at Real Madrid, but he’s yet to return to management.

Regularly linked with Premier League jobs, particularly those at Manchester United and Chelsea, a close friend has revealed the English giants have no chance.

“He certainly doesn’t want to go to England,” a source told Sport1.

Continuing on where he does want to go, the source continued: “Zidane would walk back to Juventus and would only coach the Bianconeri, the French national team or Bayern Munich.

“He sees Bayern like Real Madrid: an institution, a club with a great past and excellent working conditions.

“The two clubs have many similarities in the way they work. In this sense, he has never rejected this idea.

“Zizou works like a German. He is goal-oriented, structured and very detail-oriented.

“In this sense, he would undoubtedly fit well. But if the Munich leaders want to bring him in, they must give him sporting power and respond to his wishes.”

The timing is curious, with Thomas Tuchel announcing his decision to step away from Bayern in the summer, it could be that Zidane is alerting the club.

Before being named Real Madrid manager, the legendary Frenchman travelled to Munich to watch Pep Guardiola train the team, and spoke about the club in glowing terms.

Meanwhile France and Juventus both have steady coaches who are doing good jobs, but the lure of Zidane could certainly prove too much this summer.
