Bayern Munich manager Thomas Tuchel is still interested in becoming Manchester United manager.
That’s according to German outlet BILD, who have followed up on the former Chelsea manager’s earlier claims.
Tuchel admitted that he feels more appreciated in England than in Germany, and has regularly hit out at his treatment from the media back home.
Things are deteriorating in Munich, with Bayern now seven points off the league lead, and Tuchel admitting he’s running out of ideas.
Speaking after a 1-0 defeat to Werder Bremen, he said: “I don’t feel like saying that we train well anymore – because no one believes you anymore.
“We played very irrelevantly. We played today as if we were leading the league by ten points and have a Champions League game on Tuesday.”
Tuchel’s problems are compounded by a report from Relevo that Bayern’s preferred choice for the summer is Xabi Alonso.
The Spaniard is leading the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, and it looks like Bayern could have a big advantage with landing spots for Alonso elsewhere quickly drying up.
