Belgian-English coaching talent Will Still has left Stade de Reims with immediate effect.
The club and coach announced the decision with three games to play in Ligue 1. Reims are on a five-game winless run and were hammered 4-1 by to bottom side Clermont last time out.
31-year-old Still took over the side on an interim basis in 2022 and steered them away from relegation danger and towards Europe.
Commenting on his departure, he said: “Last season’s 19-match unbeaten run and the spectacular matches at Delaune will remain unique moments for me.
“Delaune and Champagne will always have a special place in my life, and I’ll always be the No. 1 supporter of the Rouge et Blanc.”
Club president Jean-Pierre Caillot added: “In view of this decision, and in order to allow Stade de Reims to look ahead to the next season, it has been decided that Will Still and his assistant Nicolas Still will step down from their respective roles with immediate effect.”
Still has previously talked of his ambitions to coach in England and has been linked with West Ham, the club he supports. He also reportedly held talks with Championship outfit Sunderland during the season, but a move did not materialise.
