Benfica and Ukraine’s Georhiy Sudakov had a lucky escape after his pregnant wife survived an attack by Russia.
The left back, who was away on international duty with his country, shared images of his destroyed apartment in Kyiv.
It’s claimed his wife, who is eight months pregnant, and mother, were in Kyiv when the attack occured.
Sharing the image on social media, he wrote: “Damn orcs, they attacked our house.
“Look at the state our hallway has left… The orcs will justify it by saying I had weapons in my house.”
In a post he added: “This is what my house looks like after tonight. My wife, child, and mother were at home at the time.”
Benfica showed their support, sharing an image of Sudakov with the words: “The Benfica family is with you.”
