Florentino Perez’s return to the Bernabeu didn’t go quite as he planned.
The Real Madrid president was back in his chair for a 2-0 win over Real Oviedo for the first time since his emergency press conference on Tuesday.
Perez went on attack against the media in an unexpected session that lasted well over an hour.
He insisted everything was fine at Real Madrid, and that he would run elections to prove it.
Yet back in his home, there were signs that he may not be living in the real world.
Before kick off fans were seen turning to him and trying to communicate from the stands, and Perez responded, with gestures exchanged both ways.
Soon after, once the match kicked off, two banners against him were unfurled.
One read ‘Florentino, leave now’ and another ‘Florentino, guilty’.

The second was strategically opened up during an Oviedo corner so the cameras would be on it.
To make matters worse, security quickly intervened to remove the banner, and appeared to be heavy handed with the fan holding it.
