The morning after PSG’s Champions League win over Arsenal and the news only gets worse in Paris.
Tragedy struck as one person died in a motorcycle accident at the celebrations in Porte Maillot, the Paris prosecutor’s office announced.
A second individual was placed in a coma after a violent knife fight in Paris. His condition is critical.
The number of arrests increased to 780, 457 of which were taken into police custody.
On top of that, 57 law enforcement officers were injured.

UPDATE: 11:30pm
As of 11:30pm, the number of arrests was 326 people, including 235 in the centre of Paris, according to figures released by the Paris police headquarters.
5000 fans had gathered to watch the match, but an hour after PSG’s win that number had quadrupled to an estimated 20,000.
The police reported that a kiosk located near the avenue was set on fire and the Paris ring road was briefly overrun near Porte Maillot.

PSG later released a statement which read:” Paris Saint-Germain calls on everyone to experience this historic moment with pride, responsibility, and respect so that this celebration reflects the image of this exceptional season: popular, united, and exemplary.”
Multiple arrests and checks have taken place in Paris despite the Champions League final taking place in Budapest.
PSG beat Arsenal on penalties to win back-to-back finals with fans back at home watching on the streets.
A police source told L’Equipe that by 7:30pm, even more extra time, they had conducted 1,579 checks in Paris.
These operations resulted in 64 on-the-spot fines.
Furthermore, 20 people were arrested in the capital, 10 of whom were taken into custody, according to a source at the prefecture.
Law enforcement also seized 24 torches and two fireworks mortars.
A few minor incidents of property damage were reported including a bus shelter that was vandalised on Rue de la Boétie.
Over 5000 fans had gathered at the Champs-Élysées to watch the match, and that number is only expected to increase now celebrations have begun.
