You know you have a problem when the manager of the country’s second-best team is even criticising the league’s competitveness.
That’s the case in France, though, with Marseille‘s Roberto De Zerbi arguing PSG are so far ahead their matches can no longer be considered a European ‘classic’.
Giving his thoughts to L’Equipe, he explained: “I’m not saying that PSG is bigger than OM. I’m saying that they’ve had more strength than OM so far. I’m not the one saying that.
“The Classico, in Italy, is Juve-Inter. Out of ten matches, four wins for Inter, five for Juve, and one draw.
“The Classico, PSG-OM, out of 23 matches, 19 wins for Paris, 3 draws and one win for OM, for me it’s not a Classico. Afterwards, if you want to continue talking about the Classico, talk about the Classico.
“When we play against PSG, we want to win, we want to compete, but the truth is there. Paris last season was unbeatable, or almost .”
