Austria head coach Ralf Rangnick has reportedly met with AC Milan over becoming their sporting director.
Milan have a massive four vacancies after sacking coach Max Allegri, as well as the sporting director, technical director, and CEO.
As such, owner Gerry Cardinale is now running the recruitment process along with senior advisor and club legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Gazzetta dello Sport claim the pair travelled to Vienna on Tuesday for a meeting with Rangnick.
They’ve even gone as far as offering him a duel role as head coach and sporting director in order to lure him over.
Rangnick has worked in both roles at numerous clubs during his career, but often with far smaller teams like Leipzig and Hoffenheim, compared to seven-time European champions Milan.
However, a meeting isn’t much of a sign of movement, with Rangnick holding talks with various teams over the years, even angering the Austrian football association by doing so.
Yet his deal with the national team does end after the 2026 World Cup.
