Oliver Glasner has given a rare interview back home in Austria regarding a move to AC Milan.
Having left Crystal Palace as a Conference League and FA Cup winner, Glasner is in high demand, and European royalty Milan appear to be offering him whatever he wants.
Glasner is reportedly close to agreeing terms, while Milan are seeking Austria coach Ralf Rangnick as a director above him.
Yet according to Glasner’s latest comments, a deal doesn’t appear to be imminent.
Glasner’s next club
Speaking to Oberösterreichischen Nachrichten, he said: “It’s very nice that, since I announced the end of my contract with Crystal Palace, the media has linked me with almost every club.
“I’ve never commented on these rumours, and I don’t want to now. When the time comes, I’ll announce it.
“And to finally be ready for a new club, everything has to be perfect. You have to have a good feeling: if it’s not there, nothing gets done.”
In the same reports it was added that Glasner rejected an approach from Eredivisie runners-up Feyenoord who recently sacked Robin van Persie.
Asked how he’s spending his time back in Austria, Glasner added: “I spent the past few weeks on vacation with my family.
“Now I have a lot to catch up on, including an appointment with my tax advisor and a lunch with friends I’d arranged three years ago.
“A former classmate of mine is organising a golf tournament, and I’ll be participating.”
Giving his views on the World Cup, he finished: “Of course I’ll watch the games, especially Austria’s.
“I always get up early at 6 a.m. to have breakfast with my daughter, but the 4 a.m. games are a bit too early even for me… All in all, 104 games seems like too many.
“I see a good chance for Austria to reach the round of 32 as second in their group.
“I think France should win, but I’m not sure. I also see Spain as a good option, and then the climate will have consequences: except for Germany in 2014, no European team has ever managed to win a World Cup in South America. So, I’ll add Argentina.”
