Oli McBurnie has been making headlines for all the right reasons in Spain, but the latest one he may have preferred to avoid.
The Scotland striker surprised everyone by turning up at Las Palmas in LaLiga, and has got off to a flyer with two assists, including one in a 1-1 draw against champions Real Madrid.
That Madrid match away in the Canary Islands also involved one controversial moment when a Fede Valverde shot hit a hand in the box and Vinicius scored the penalty from the spot.
Many questioned the call, and it turns out McBurnie did too in one unseen interview post-match.
A vlogger asked him why it was given, and he simply replied: “It’s Real Madrid eh?”
The clip has quickly gone viral in Spain and outraged the Madrid media and supporters, and McBurnie may have to take cover.
