Kevin De Bruyne’s rant against his Belgium teammates after a 2-0 defeat to France has gone down badly.
The Manchester City megastar tore into his Red Devils colleagues after the Nations League loss calling their performances ‘unacceptable’ and he was later seen telling their assistant coach ‘I quit’.
De Bruyne referenced the side not being as good as the 2018 vintage when they made the World Cup semi-finals with himself, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaka firing on all cylinders.
However, one player who was fazed out for the latter stages of the ‘Golden Generation’ holds them all responsible for the demise.
Responding to De Bruyne’s rant, Radja Nainggolan said: “All the players want to be protagonists, they want to be the best player and that doesn’t work.
“It’s like what happens at PSG, with all their stars. We had Lukaku, Hazard, De Bruyne and Courtois.
“When you put all these players together, there’s too much protagonism, too many divas.”
